NEHCA Spring Convention: ‘Is Telehealth Helpful? Expensive? Lessons from COVID-19’

April 27, 2021 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm CDT

Please join Encounter Telehealth’s Vice President of Clinical Services, Randy Beckett, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC at the Nebraska Health Care Association’s Spring Conference on Tuesday April 27th, 2021.

COVID-19 has changed the landscape for senior care entirely. Telehealth was a growing industry before the pandemic, and it’s not going anywhere any time soon. This session will discuss telehealth nomenclature, Medicare regulations regarding telehealth, and the cost of telehealth services. In addition, this session will review how telehealth is different between skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and independent living.  Lastly, facets of behavioral telehealth and its benefits during this challenging time will be discussed.

At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Define the Medicare regulations regarding telehealth
  • Describe the differences between telehealth in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and independent living
  • Explain how telehealth can help address mental and behavioral health symptoms from within the comfort of your facility

This session is appropriate for owners, administrators, medical directors, directors of nursing, nurses, social services, activities, and direct care staff in assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities.
