Encounter Telehealth

Encounter Telehealth is based in Omaha, Nebraska. The company launched Encounter Telepsychiatry in 2012 to address the severe shortage of mental health providers in our rural communities, by bringing the provider directly to the patient via telehealth.

Encounter provides care across the entire mental health spectrum including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, family therapy, and staff training in over 100 skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living facilities.

Our patients receive specialized, evidence-based mental health care regardless of where they live.

Our Mission:

To provide high quality behavioral healthcare to underserved communities and patient populations.

Our Values:

Our values embody how we treat colleagues, patients, providers, facility partners and staff. At our core is a belief in self-determination, personal responsibility, and respect for all.

Working With Us
Encounter provides psychiatric, mental, and behavioral healthcare to residents of over 100 skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living facilities across the country through a secure video conferencing platform.

Our board-certified providers include Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BC) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).

How We Do It
Today, Encounter’s board-certified providers treat mental and behavioral health conditions through evaluations, medication management, and therapy.

Each resident is assigned one provider throughout the length of services to maintain consistency and reliability.

Residents attend their appointments through a HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing platform developed specifically for telehealth.
