What type of training do you provide?
Encounter provides comprehensive training on all telehealth platforms and workflows to providers and clients to ensure quality care.
Do you have full and part time work?

Yes. Encounter offers a flexible work environment that includes both full and part-time positions. Encounter offers an attractive work environment and flexible schedules.

For Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday through Friday is required to ensure patients have access to quality care. These hours must be divided between at least two non-consecutive days. For example: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Licensed Clinical Social Workers may also work part-time or full-time.

How often am I paid for my work?

What about professional liability insurance?
As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your private professional liability insurance. You can deduct this as a business expense on your tax return, as well as other expenses such as license feeds, DEA registrations, and IT costs.
Do I need a DEA?

Yes, prescribers need a DEA in the states where they treat patients. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for the cost of the DEA. You can deduct this as a business expense on your tax return, as well as other expenses such as license fees, liability insurance, and IT costs.

What about credentialing?
Encounter assists with credentialing. It is beneficial if you are already a Medicare provider and registered in the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH).
What does Encounter do for me?
Encounter is your ‘back office’. We make appointments, collect patient information, verify insurance, and bill. We have a dedicated and experienced staff to help you grow your practice by supporting you in your facilities. You treat patients, we handle the rest.
What type of equipment do I need?
The provider supplies the necessary equipment such as a laptop or desktop. Encounter supplies the video platform and EMR, with technical support, for quality telehealth encounters. Providers are responsible for maintaining a secure high-speed internet connection to ensure a seamless connection for encounters.
What about the telehealth software?
Encounter supplies the HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based telehealth software at no cost to the provider.
