Our Services

Encounter Telehealth provides psychiatric, mental, and behavioral healthcare to residents of skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living communities, and home care.

Our services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy and counseling, and staff training.

Psychiatric Evaluations
Our psychiatric providers are board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP). Diagnostic evaluations are completed on all new patients to ensure an updated diagnosis and care plan. New patient evaluations typically last about an hour.
Medication Management
After the initial evaluation, residents will see our psychiatric providers monthly as needed for medication management services. We work closely with local primary care providers, facility staff and other caregivers to ensure the best outcomes for the patients. These follow up visits are typically 20-30 minutes.
Therapy and Counseling
Our Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) provide counseling and mental health services to residents in addition to medication management services. Counseling and therapy can be extremely beneficial to residents with depression, anxiety, loneliness, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, and more. Studies show that patient outcomes are most effective when therapy is coupled with medication management. Staff is not required at these appointments, as there are no medication adjustments made.
Staff Training
Staff training is customized to your facility and staff needs. A board-certified Encounter provider will deliver training via video conference that can support your staff in providing exceptional care to your residents. These sessions typically last about 45 minutes, and always allow time for questions.

  • The Importance of Antipsychotic Reductions
  • Working with Families of a Resident with Mental Illness
  • Identifying Residents that Would Benefit from Our Services
